Whitby is a lovely little town on the North Yorkshire coast. There is the famous abbey to explore; the abbey is located on East Cliff headland, with fantastic views overlooking the town. There are a variety of beaches to explore too - ideal for a say in the sun; or a bracing walk. Talking of walking, there are some great walks to be had in and around Whitby, walk up the cliffs for some nice views across the coastline.
This fishing town is also famous for its fish and shellfish, so head down to the harbour to try some of the latest catch at a local restaurant. If you fancy catching a fish or two yourself, there are plenty of fishing trips
